Grooved Pavement Playlist 12.17.2010

Here's the playlist from today's program. The Grooved Pavement world music radio show will be airing Fridays on WMUA 91.1 from 12:00 to 2:30 pm EST. If you don't live within the broadcast range, you can stream it live through iTunes. Just go to iTunes, click on "Radio" and search for WMUA in the "College / University" and "Eclectic" sections.

To listen to a podcast of what the show sounded like, there's a flash player at the end of the post/ playlist for your listening pleasure.

If you like a particular song and are interested in purchasing it for yourself, just follow the link.

I opened with Bird on the Wire as a dedication to Wayne Dean Parkinson, an old friend from back home who took his life on Wednesday after a long struggle with illness. We'll miss your dry, acerbic wit and quirky take on our screwed up, wonderful world and all of our interconnected relationships. If only you could have held out for the pay off.

You're very welcome, and thank you for visiting and leaving a comment.

WDP & I had a few things in common, one being that far stretching phone line beneath us and between others that offered little use other than a brief resting spot for weary fellow travellers.
